Start by configuring your valve

Select the valve and enter its process conditions first. If actuation is required, the RFQ will continue to the compatible actuator and retain the valve data automatically.

FAQs

EFJ4M is intended for diaphragm valves, needle valves and other industrial valve mechanisms requiring multi-turn movement. Compatibility depends on torque, number of turns, speed, mounting interface and output drive.
Selection considers valve operating and breakaway torque, required travel, operating speed, duty, power supply, control mode, mounting flange, output drive and ambient conditions. For an EFSVALVES valve assembly, these checks are completed internally.
The five actuator sizes cover operational torque requirements from 2 to 50 Nm and support travel of up to 13.5 turns. Both values must be checked against the valve requirements.
Yes. EFJ4M can operate in On/Off service or use optional DPS digital positioning with 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-10 V or 1-10 V instrumentation signals.

ABOUT EFJ4M

The EFJ4M compact electric multi-turn actuator is engineered for diaphragm valves, needle valves and other industrial valve mechanisms requiring controlled multi-turn movement. Five actuator sizes cover operational torque requirements from 2 to 50 Nm with travel of up to 13.5 turns, supporting precise valve automation in water treatment, desalination, chemical processing, food and beverage, pharmaceutical and general liquid-service applications.

A 24 VDC brushless motor and electronic torque limiter support controlled valve movement, while IP67 enclosure protection, visual position indication, a declutchable manual override and a thermostatically controlled 3.5 W heater contribute to dependable industrial operation. Standard open and closed confirmations facilitate connection to the plant control system.

EFJ4M is available for On/Off operation or optional DPS digital positioning using 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-10 V or 1-10 V signals. Bluetooth supports local configuration and diagnostics, and optional Modbus communication can be specified for integration into networked control architectures. A battery fail-safe function is not presented as an EFJ4M option.

When EFJ4M is supplied with an EFSVALVES valve, the actuator size, required torque, travel, operating speed, mounting flange and output drive are verified by our engineering team. The customer only needs to define the electrical supply, control functionality and project options. EFJ4M can also be requested separately for an existing valve when sufficient valve and mechanical data are available for compatibility review.

Yes. EFJ4M can operate in On/Off service or use optional DPS digital positioning with 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA, 0-10 V or 1-10 V instrumentation signals.
Multi-voltage versions accept 24-240 VDC/VAC, and dedicated 12 VDC/VAC versions are also available. The required supply is selected during RFQ configuration.
A battery fail-safe function is not presented as part of the documented EFJ4M configuration. If a defined safety position following power loss is required, EFSVALVES should review the complete application and alternative actuation concept.
Bluetooth supports compatible local setup, actuator operation and diagnostic review. Access and project requirements should be confirmed for the selected configuration.
Yes, Modbus can be specified as an option. Network topology, addressing, cabling and plant control-system requirements should be reviewed during project definition.
Yes. A declutchable manual override permits emergency local operation and mechanically separates the electric drive while manual mode is engaged.
Yes. EFSVALVES can select the actuator, verify torque and travel, define the mounting arrangement and supply a coordinated automated-valve assembly.
Yes. Provide the valve manufacturer, model, datasheet, torque, required turns and available mounting details. EFSVALVES will evaluate compatibility and define any additional information needed.
It can automate compatible valves installed in these facilities, subject to the environmental and project requirements. This application reference does not by itself represent hygienic-process or hazardous-area certification.
A compact electric multi-turn actuator converts electrical power into controlled rotary movement over several turns. It is intended for valves or mechanisms that require more than a quarter-turn to move between positions, such as compatible diaphragm valves, needle valves and other multi-turn valve designs. Final compatibility depends on torque, number of turns, speed, mounting interface and output drive.
A quarter-turn actuator typically provides approximately 90 degrees of rotation and is commonly used with ball, butterfly and plug valves. A multi-turn actuator provides several complete rotations and is used where the valve mechanism requires progressive stem or spindle movement over multiple turns. The correct actuator type therefore depends on the mechanical movement required by the valve.
The EFJ4M enclosure is rated IP67, providing protection against dust ingress and temporary water immersion under the conditions defined by the IP classification. This makes the actuator suitable for many industrial environments, although the complete installation should still be reviewed against the actual outdoor, washdown, corrosive or project-specific environmental conditions.
Yes. The EFJ4M application scope includes seawater and desalination, water and water treatment, subject to compatibility with the selected valve and the environmental requirements of the installation.
Yes. EFJ4M can form part of a complete valve automation package where torque, travel, power supply, control mode, mounting, communication and documentation requirements are defined within the agreed project scope. When supplied together with an EFSVALVES valve, these compatibility checks are performed as part of actuator selection.
